About the use of Peppol

The Peppol ID assigned to Singapore businesses on InvoiceNow is based on the Unique Entity Number (UEN). 
UEN is also used as underlying address for PayNow Corporate, a popular e-payment scheme in Singapore.

Peppol Authority

The Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) is the Peppol Authority in Singapore.
IMDA launched the InvoiceNow network based on Peppol in 2019. As the Peppol Authority, IMDA is responsible for defining Peppol Authority Specific Requirements (PASR) and accrediting SPs providing Peppol Access Point (AP) and Service Metadata Publisher (SMP) services in Singapore.

Use of Peppol in Singapore

In 2020, the Singapore Government added InvoiceNow as a new channel for suppliers to submit e-invoices to Government for public procurement. InvoiceNow is the preferred channel for invoicing the Government.
From 2025, the Singapore Government is implementing the GST InvoiceNow Requirement in phases, which requires all GST-registered businesses to progressively transmit invoice data to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) via InvoiceNow by April 2031.
